Crafted in Tokoname, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, this teapot reflects more than 1,000 years of ceramic heritage dating back to the late Heian period. Tokonameyaki is known for producing everything from fine teapots and cups to architectural ceramics and in 1976 the region was officially designated a Traditional Craft Production Area under Japan’s national craft preservation law.
