Made in Tokoname, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns this teapot reflects over 1,000 years of ceramic heritage. Tokonameyaki began in the late Heian period evolving into a center known for teapots, tableware, tiles, and ceramic goods. In 1976, the region was officially designated a Traditional Craft Production Area under Japan’s national law protecting cultural craftsmanship.
